Made in the USA with pride in Portland, Oregon, these AMERICAN BUILT work boots are assembled using a minimal-waste design and the finest materials from around the world. We're proud to bring footwear manufacturing back to the USA, and to do it all in one of America's most modern factories.

The boots feature left and right asymmetrical, non-metallic carbon-fiber (composite) toes that offer an unobtrusive fit and are 15% lighter than steel. They meet or exceed ASTM F2412 and F2413 M I/75, C/75 EH standards for safety.

To keep your feet dry and comfortable, the boots are equipped with KEEN.DRY, a waterproof and breathable membrane liner that allows vapor to escape without letting water in. The Independence 8" Composite Toe work boots have a mesh liner that integrates with the waterproof membrane.

For traction, the boots feature an oil- and slip-resistant outsole that is lighter weight and more durable than rubber. The 90° heel (5/8") provides stability and helps "catch or lock" the foot in place. These boots meet or exceed ASTM F1677 Mark II and ASTM F2913 standards.

The boots come with KEEN Luftcell air-infused, PU midsoles for weightless comfort. They are also made with a nylon shank, used for midfoot support and superior torsion stability, and moisture-wicking textiles to help keep feet dry.

The shaft height is Calf High, and the shaft circumference is 11.81 Inches. The sole material is Rubber, providing durability and traction.
