These Keen Utility Men's Independence 6Leather Waterproof Composite Toe boots are proudly assembled in Portland, Oregon, using a minimal-waste design and the highest quality materials sourced from around the world. We are excited to bring back footwear manufacturing to the USA, while operating in one of the most modern factories in the country.

These boots feature left and right asymmetrical, non-metallic carbon-fiber (composite) toes that offer a discreet fit and are 15% lighter than steel. Rest assured that they meet or exceed ASTM F2412 and F2413 M I/75, C/75 EH standards.

Stay dry and comfortable with the KEEN.DRY waterproof and breathable membrane liner. This technology allows vapor to escape while keeping water out. The Independence 6" work boots also have a mesh liner that integrates with the waterproof membrane.

Experience superior traction with the oil- and slip-resistant outsole. This outsole is not only lighter weight, but also more durable than traditional rubber. The 90° heel (5/8") provides stability and helps to "catch" or lock the foot in place. These boots meet or exceed ASTM F1677 Mark II and ASTM F2913 standards.
